#11 Mark Twain highlights the relevant point that those who are educated or have a certain skill might as well not if they don't exercise that ability. It's like having a car but never driving it and always taking the bus. What is the benefit and how is one contributing with their skill if they refuse to utilize it. I like the metaphor Twain presented because it makes one think that reading is useless if you don't read, and then the conclusion that this also applies to much more arises and encourages evaluation of other things.
