Right-wing talk radio hosts who believe their own bullshit dying of covid in quick succession reminds me of young rock stars believing their own bullshit dying in quick succession (Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Duane Allman) 50 years ago.

To relate this to current times, this reminds me of many rappers who have died in the past few years. Juice Wrld is a prime example of this. One of his tragically famous song lyrics is, "all legends die young." It is said that they have become victims of the culture. In his song "Legends" he mentions the "27 club" which is a massive group of public figures who have all died at the age of 27 due to drug and alcohol abuse, violence, suicide, or other tragic endings. Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison are all part of this group.

DeleteI completely agree. I think a lot of celebrities, especially musical artists and rappers have started to follow the trend of mindlessly doing drugs etc, (lil peep also being an example in this situation), as part of a culture. It's a really sad fact, and because these celebrities and public figures have large audiences, it is easy to keep the cycle going by influencing people into thinking that doing the same thing is okay.
