I would say that I like half agree with this statement. It is true that there is a lot of knowledge learned within school. However, there is much more information that can be learned out of school. You learn more "book smarts" at school, rather than "street smarts". Going out in the world and learning within a specific field can provide an invaluable amount of "street smarts". I think that traditional schooling provides a basis of education that is then expanded upon in specific fields or "real world".
