What We Can Learn From This Magnificent Migration
Regarding the usefulness of birds, they inspired our first aircraft designs. Originally people were trying to make aircraft with "flapping" wings rather than stationary. Later, we evolved into utilizing stationary wings like we use today. Without birds to look toward for inspiration, it might have taken much longer for us to discover the joys of aviation.
