This is an important fact to share: most states—and every swing state except Pennsylvania—allow early in-person voting, from right now (Michigan, Minnesota) to starting October 24th (Florida). So vote early!

How can I vote before Election Day?

Any registered voter can cast an early ballot from Oct. 14 to Oct. 29. Voters can find their polling location here or here.

How about on Election Day?

On Election Day, Nov. 3, polls in Tennessee will be open until 8 p.m. Eastern (7 p.m. Central). Opening times vary by county. You can find your polling place and hours here. To vote in person on Election Day, you will need a valid form of photo identification.

  1. Thank you so much for the information! It is written out very well and clears up a couple of questions I had about voting. This year will be my first time voting and I trying to make sure I am not missing anything as I registered to vote earlier this year.
