I agree with this post so much, people these days always want the best most luxurious product or invention. Its almost like if you don't have it you don't 'fit in' or your not 'cool', so people will go into debt or overwork themselves just to have the newest phone or shoes. Which I think is crazy I will try to use what ever I have until it's broken since thats honestly all we need. I think people would be a lot more productive if they weren't thinking about such materialistic items. I feel like people give too much power over items that won't last over 10 years and that they will forget about after a moon of not using. I honestly would love to see a society were everything was simple, not to a dystopian point, but too a happy point.
