I agree with him the past are just a bunch of memories that can't be changed, why always think about it? If you live in the past you'll never see what's happening in front of you so the cycle will just continue. But if you let go of the past you can gain so much emotional freedom and live in the present something you can change and participate in.
#11 I believe it is important to live in the present so that you don't miss out on what's going around you, but I also think that the past is important to treasure and learn from. I wouldn't recommend living in the past but looking back on it can offer some insight about what to do in the future. We learn from mistakes and that's how we grow as people. If you don't glance back every once in a while, it is hard to learn like if you were driving down the interstate recklessly and causing multiple crashes behind you, you would never know if you solely kept your eyes forward.
