  1. I had not heard the idea that at one time we were all connected to another person as a body with two heads, four arms, four legs. I like this idea and the idea of a soulmate or one person being designed to be with you. Personally, I think romantic love can bring us joy or help us feel complete, as long as the relationship is healthy.

    I really like de Beauvoir's idea on romantic love. Finding someone that makes us better, encouraging and supporting us is something a lot of people seek. I like how Beauvoir focused on how we love, and that it shouldnt make you depend on that person for happiness or worth.
