H01 I like this quote because it puts into question whether or not there needs to be some sort of authority figure for morality to exist. Nietzsche, if I understand correctly, had seemed to argue morality had been killed because God no longer was being believed in. So he was arguing that humanity needed an authority to dictate morality. This is also similar to how some Christian thinkers thought, arguing that one who does not submit to the authority of God can have no morals. However thinkers like Vonnegut posit that there is no need for an authority figure to determine what is right or wrong.
